2009 Reconciler's Summit:
Managing Conflict in Faith Based Settings
One of the major challenges facing Christian leaders today is dealing with conflict in our churches and faith based organizations in redemptive ways. Some church leaders estimate that forty to fifty percent of their time is spent dealing with conflict.. However, most ministry graduate programs and continuing education for church leaders provide little in the way of skills for this critical responsibility of the reconciler.
Beginning on Sunday evening, July 26 and concluding Tuesday, July 28,
Lipscomb University's Institute for Conflict Management will host a skills based program to help ministers and church leaders to a higher level of competence in dealing with the inevitable conflict which is part of the human condition. The Reconciler's Summit will integrate faith into the work of conflict management and provide church leaders with practical skills which can further the ministry of reconciliation in their churches and communities.
Join your peers from across Middle Tennessee in this first of a kind opportunity to share, inquire, reflect and practice conflict management techniques in the context of faith. This experience could revolutionize your ministry of reconciliation and revitalize your community of faith.
Participants will be asked to pay a registration fee of $95 to cover the cost of food, refreshments and materials. If you wish to reserve an on campus, modern apartment, there is an additional charge of $85 per night.
